Tracy Mortimer MAR Reflexologist Reflexology for Hereford

Reflexology Treatment

Reflexology is an extremely simple treatment to receive as all that is required is that you remove your socks and shoes. It is advisable to wear loose clothing to enable lower leg points to be worked. Feet do not need to be perfect by any means, every blemish, mark, bunion tells a tale.

I use my thumbs, fingers or knuckles to apply pressure to the feet, lower leg and hands, dependant on the type of reflexology chosen. You may feel areas of pressure or tenderness when reflexes are pressed, although overall the experience should feel extremely relaxing. Whilst working these areas I may detect imbalances and whilst easing these imbalances can allow a free flow of energy to the area, therefore aiding circulation and releasing tension.

Reflexology works on a holistic level that regards the body and individual as a whole. It is a safe and non intrusive therapy that can deeply relax and release tension from the body. It is based on many theories, the most widely felt being that there are specific pressure points found in the feet and hands. Based on the premise that our two feet/hands are a map of our internal body, by stimulating these points through reflexology, the body is therefore encouraged to re balance itself and restore well-being throughout. As a reflexologist I am there to support you as a unique individual and aim to fully promote your well-being. I am not an alternative to medical treatment and will not claim to diagnose, prescribe or cure. * Reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice and we encourage you to tell your doctor that you are considering/receiving reflexology*.
